Lewmar Ocean Series
I just scrapped the plastic Bomar I installed in June. It leaked like seive from day one around the seal and the latches went weak within a very short time. I broke down and bought a Lewmar Ocean Series from the folks at Florida Rigging. The price was better than anyone else and I am VERY happy with...

splices
On my PS25 there is no easy way to get at the steaming light wiring except by running it through the mast. I made my splice with the mast top lights ground at the deck. It was not really my idea but the through deck coupling only has 4 pins and one more for the ground. I don't know who designs some ...

If you decide to go whacking the threaded end be sure to support the aluminum around the headed end. By support I mean something hard like steel, wood will not be hard enough and will allow the mast to deform. You are probably correct thinking there is a sleeve in there to stop from crushing the mas...

PS25 hull ID numbers........
I asked this on the Q/A section as well. Where are the hull ID numbers found on a 1978 PS25? I've looked all the places I can think of and can find no numbers. I also need the engine serial numbes and cannot find them either. All this so the state can stick some ugly numbers on my pretty boat..........

Pacific Seacraft 25 Hull ID numbers.......
I have a 1978 PS25 and cannot find the hull ID numbers any place. They are usually on the starboard transom(later vintage anyway) but they are nowhere to be found. I also need the engine ID number, again, where do I look?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, Thanks..........martin

I got a Dickinson 2 burner propane for my little boat 3 years ago and it is WONDERFUL. After years of messing about with various alcohol and kerosene stoves, the Dickinson was like having been brought into the light. It seems the rest of the worlds sailors must be smarter than the the ones in the US...
