Why don't you read much about the Alberg 35?

Is there something wrong with the Alberg 35? People seem to rave on the 37, 30 and even the 22, but the 35 seems to be the red-headed stepchild.

I ask because there's one for sale at http://www.alberg30.org/collaborate/AlbergBoatsForSale

Not that I would buy such a large boat, but it made me wonder why it was offered so cheap.

Seems like a cheap boat condo!

I'm not sure that a whole lot of them were made; I honestly don't know. that might account for why you aren't hearing so much about them. The Whitby-built boats like the 37, 30, and 22 were much more mass-produced than the Pearson-built 35.

The A35 is a pretty nice boat. I've been on a couple and they would be good candidates for rebuilding as needed. They do suffer a bit from the standard flat Alberg sheerline, but they can be fine looking boats when doled up properly.

I'm sure the boat offered at $5800 requires plenty of work. The boats were pretty basic from the factory (fake wood Formica and the lot), and plenty of them are in similar condition to most Tritons.
