Talk about favorite or hated suppliers, recommend good materials or sources, or anything of the same ilk. This is also a good place to suggest unique ideas and innovations you may have come up with.

Cabin lighting

Once again I run up against my usual quandry of wanting a traditional appearance with modern performance. Does anyone know a source for traditionalish looking fixtures with LED lamps?

Yes, "traditionalish" is a word. It means something like...

Alpenglow has a variation of the usual brass dome reading light, but it ain't cheap. Have heard lots of good things about them, though.

I've seen articles about replacing the bulb in an existing fixture with an LED cluster. Might go that route myself.

A friend of mine has the Alpenglow and they seem to give very high quality light. His can be switched between white, red, and both (which gives a very 'warm' light). All three settings seem to provide very even, pleasing, and complete illumination.
