totally ignoring thy boat, shame on me!!!!

Post by jpmathieu »

Being two weeks from my scheduled launch ( at least in my world) today ( or yesterday as soon as I finish this rambling) was the town election in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts!. I contrary to my friends and family's belief, I unseated a native 60+ year old ( no disrespect to anyone) fifteen year incumbant chairman out of his local planning board seat. After spending ten hours ( and I got a hell of a sunburn on my face)holding one of my many expensive campaign signs ( OH the money I could have spent on the boat) I won 346 to 335 votes. Whew!! ( unpaid position, for five years)

Anyway, after a week in Maine (Moosehead region) unwinding, beginning tommorrow!( I am driving by Tim's, SHOULD I VISIT!!!) I plan to launch upon return.

To get to the point of this rambling, Let the sailing in Buzzards Bay (Yes, I missed FIGAWI, Its tough getting a Plastic Classic qualified, But I did do it in the past) BEGIN

PS (NEVER POST AT 1:30 AM AFTER WINNING A LOCAL ELECTION)

I still plan to launch next week.

The Mattapoisett planning board: stepping stone to the presidency.

:<)

Congratulations on your close victory! Good to shake things up a bit, I'm sure.

I'll be at the shop from about lunchtime (or hopefully before) on...
