Uncovering: the rite of spring

Post by Tim »

With a free afternoon on my hands after finishing, with Nathan, the white Alexseal on Dasein, I turned my attention to my first love, Glissando. Plus, I think she was getting jealous of all the time I was spending in the shop with Dasein!

It felt great to pull off the cover. Though I'd been aboard several times over the winter to check things, this was really the first time I'd seen her since I put the cover on October 5. There's still plenty of snow around, and the mud has a while before drying out, but progress towards summer is inexorable.

A quick rinse to remove the winter's grime, and she perked up quite a bit. I have only a short project list of regular maintenance items for the spring. Launch date is Wednesday, May 18.
