Thanks for the kind words and well wishes. It has been a very emotional day. I have not really slept in days, working on the boat night and day and worrying about the "what ifs". I did not realize how worked up I had let myself become until they picked her up off the jack stands and a crocodile tear or two rolled down each cheek unexpectably.....YIKES, I ain't no "cry-baby".

I then started thinking about the time lapse in the project. I started looking for a Triton (or Southern Cross-- which was way out of my financial range) 5 years ago. 3 years ago I bought Wind-rose, then a major move from TN to MD took place and I had to get the boat transported from her home in Grafton WS to Chesapeake country.... 2 years of steady work all leading up to today.

I am exhausted, yet ELATED! She is beautiful, she isn't finished..... I don't guess she ever will be "finished". I enjoy working on her and making her better and better.

They moved us to a temp slip, one boat away sits another Triton. It is the s/v Rachel Morgan. Anybody know her?

Headed back over to the yard now, had to come in and cool off a bit, to fine tune her rig, get her clothes on her, and start the engine. I'll let cha know how it goes.

I noticed no grabrails or lifelines. Are these pending or are you unnaturally stable?

That's one seriously geared-up Triton!!! Double spreader rig with inboard chainplates, bent stainless mast beam, mast step with turning blocks, hydraulic backstay..... the hits just kept on coming! Someone wanted that boat to MOVE!
What's with those monster blocks forward of the foredeck hatch? pole downhaul?

Grabrails going on tomorrow. Lifelines will be a week or 10 days.

Blocks forward of the hatch are for the baby stay.

Engine came right back up..... blew a little blue smoke, the MMO. Runs
smooth and evenly. Tuned the rig, ready to bend the sails.

The screws are out of the dinghy, it is 42 years old too.... they were a beast... they would twist off and stay stuck in the coaming....grrrrrr!
