Here is the Web site of the restoration of a 41' Rhodes Reliant. The boat was completed this summer by French and Webb boatbuilders in Belfast, Maine. They did a beautiful job.
The commentary on the site is lacking, but there are some great photos showing the various stages of the refit.

glass-covering material
Good link, John. What a dreamboat.
On the v-berth makeover page, they covered the expanses of fiberglass inside the house with some kind of white material. Mahogany joinerwork to hide the seams.
Anyone know what that stuff is? Some kind of formica with a soft backing to adopt to contours, maybe? Looks like a nice alternative to painted fiberglass--and all the prep work that entails.
