I don't know...I think the Mid-Atlantic and south are getting the brunt of this one--it's staying mostly south and a little bit offshore. Mike in CT might get a bunch.

We'll get what we get, but our forecast (at the moment, anyway) puts us in the 6-10" range, maybe, or 3-5", depending on who you listen to or watch. Nothing to write home about, except for the fact that we haven't had any real storms so far this season.

Looks pretty down there, Joe! But couldn't you have braved the conditions to take a picture from outside the screen?! hehe

The screen flatters the boat in its present condition! hehe

I spent yesterday cooking for the Commodore's Dinner at my YC. We prepped for 100 attendees, and listened as party after party called in to cancel in fear of the snow. 70 brave souls enjoyed the feast and festivities, and hit the road just as the flakes began to fall.... 7 HOURS LATER THAN PREDICTED. 30 suckers missed out for nothing.

We have 6-8" at the moment, light and fluffy. I'd be surprised if we got 12" at the end of it all.

The brownies aren't quite done...

Not too bad here in Boston. The wind is blowing it around a lot but not too much (<1 foot) on the ground. I hope my two year old tarps hold up. They are looking a bit thin.

Joe, I see some dry spots under the waterline. Surely there is a project or two you could be working on?...

Well so much for Winter Storm Warnings. It snowed all night here in Richmond (Virginia) and Most of the snow is already off the grass. Temps already in the 40 range.
I was hoping for some real snow!!! Sounds like NY is the place to be.

sorry folks!! Here on the Texas coast it reached a low of 32 last night, for the first time this winter. It's a sunny 63 outside right now, at 1700.

Damn I hate cold. :)

Down here in Cape May we got about 3" - 5". Had been looking forward to being snowed in - some of the predictions were up to 12". Did the bread and milk thing - snow didn't start here until the middle of the night Saturday. I'll be out of the driveway without a problem tomorrow - back to work :^(

Geez, Charlie...you sound just like my dad. He's down there in Kerrville, and I hear pretty much the same thing every time I talk to him!

We got a measly 4-5" here at the house, with maybe a bit more down at the immediate coast. Not even worth noting. (So why did I just make note of it, then?)

It was a high here of 50 yesterday, the heater in the boat made it 60. But with the wind the cold felt COLD. Don't know how you guys up in the northern latitudes do it.

Tim- gets a lot colder in Kerrville than it does here on the shores of Matagorda Bay, that's for sure.

That's one of the reasons we moved way down here. I REALLY hate cold. Laura does too. She puts long johns on when it gets under 50 degrees:)

For us an 80 degree day is a cool day.

AND THEN- In 2004 We had A FOOT OF SNOW on Christmas eve!!!!! First measurable snow here in over 100 years. And the first in recorded history on Christmas. It WAS sorta pretty and the best thing about it was in two days it was GONE!!

Our house on Christmas morning- a once in a lifetime shot- we hope!!!



But perhaps this picture will more graphically show the shock around here- Yeah- that's a stalk of bananas almost ripe- they turned black and fell off.

Here in NJ, 50 degrees in the winter means working in a tee shirt. Yippee.
I guess up in Maine it means a trip to the beach . . .

Ah, yes. I stayed inside this weekend to work on the restoration of my galley stove.
