So, I got the gash on the bow filled. Ready to accept primer and paint.
(Yes, that's before sanding!)
Here's the weather forecast. We splash on Wednesday.

Can you hold out long enough for the water to rise to the boat? Might save you the hauling fee.

I won't be missing the 17th. Even if it means the bow isn't painted. The only critical things to do are finish rigging the mast and fasten it down for the ride, about 1.5 hours and recommission the engine. Figure 2 hours. Should be done tomorrow, or Monday at the latest.

Despite the ridiculous weather, the boat is ready to go. She's going in with primer on the bow, but going nontheless.
Today was fun. Sing along folks: "I'm Riiigging in the rain! Just riiiigging in the rain!" I think I'm going to barf.
Man is that repair ugly. I picked up a Preval sprayer and I guess I'll try to spray topcoat on some really glassy calm morning... Wish me luck with that one!

I sure hope the weather is nicer tomorrow for your launch! Looks like it might actually not be so terrible, but only tomorrow will tell.

OK, Nathan. You got picked up at 1100 to get launched. It's now almost 2000.
Just where, exactly, are the pictures, mistah? Watching others launch their boats is all I have this year.
I think you lucked out with the weather today. Right? It sure was nice here.

Oh, it's going to be a loooong summer, isn't it Tim?
Look, man, first of all, Steve was late, so I didn't get picked up till 1120. And secondly, I just got home at 2040 and sent you an email entitled "Sneak preview" almost immediately! Sheesh! Some people. Thhbbpbth.
Alright, for the rest of you more patient souls.... hehe
The weather today was beautiful. That is, if you compare it to the past two weeks. It was partly cloudy, with quite a lot of sunshine. But it was also blowing 20 knots out of the southwest. Which made for a rather soggy trip out the end of the river and around to Falmouth. Not a complaint, just an observation. The seawater temp right now is about 48 degrees F. Brrr.

I had to leave the boat briefly almost immediately after arriving at the mooring. But I did go back later to rough-tune the rig and attach the boom. I know how much Tim hates to see a boat with no boom. More pics after I finish putting her back together. And wash her down. Wow is she dirty. Yuch.
