Sometimes fog is just lovely, isn't it?

That's not fog, that's just heavy mist.

Love the very first pic. Not often you see flyfishermen at work.

Here's some fog on the Chesapeake Bay of all places. A freak occurence to be sure! We could hear the traffic on bridge, but couldn't see a thing till we looked up!

I'd liked to have seen the bay from the bridge!!! I am sure the top part ofthe span is above the "clouds"!!
I can only think of a few times we got fogged in on the bay. Once was while racing. You could hear the other boats, bells, horns, whistles, all ears and eyes straining...very light air so all were moving slowly...and a shape would emerge...ducking or holding course would commence and the shapes would slide off and disappear. All very surreal.

Actually, this was the following morning after I had helped a friend of mine bring a boat to Annapolis from Deltaville. It was a few years ago in November.
We motored straight through from Deltaville approaching Thomas Point Light around 2am when it literally disappeared. The fog was thick, but only a foot or two OFF the water, so that when we'd pass close t a lit mark, we could see the reflection of the light in the water, just not the light itself.
After finding a spot in A-town to anchor, we continued on to Baltimore then next day when those snaps were taken.

On a trip across the Gulf of Maine one night, we had thick fog that was only about 10 of 15 feet deep. You couldn't see much beyond the bow of the boat, but had all the stars of the night sky shining overhead!

Too bad you weren't going that way.
