Save-A-Boat - The Forum for Plastic Classic Rebuilds!

Dear friends,

I have been a member of this forum for some time now and although I don't post often, with some of you I have what I feel as a friendship despite the fact that I don't own a Triton and that I'm located in the other side of the pond.

So coming close to the reason of this post: I recently asked the permission of another forum member to use some of his photographs for the illustration of an article in the magazine I work for. The permission was gladly given and I rest assured that everything was perfect.

Unfortunately the fact is that I left the magazine for a business trip and when I returned I found the issue printed but without the copyrights of the photographs been credited to their respective owner (an unintended mistake in the atelier of the magazine).

Although immediately in private I notified the member of this forum and a correction promised for the next issue, I feel that here and in public I should apologise to this member for the mistake as through this forum I got to meet him (virtually) and get in touch with. So, dear member of this forum please accept my sincere apology.

Not really a ramble, but I thought this is the right think to do and the right place to do it.

I know what you mean about reading and getting to know people before you've ever even posted; the same thing happened to me while I was reading the board before I joined.

I feel compelled to point out that Manos has been with the board since its very beginning in April 2003...one of the first members to join, in fact.

That doesn't mean that we can't welcome him anyway, of course.

Well, someone has to look after those less-than-perfect boats! :-)

You know, there seems to be a misconception that this forum is based around Tritons. I have heard similar statements before. Maybe that is because the four biggest loud mouths on the forum have Tritons?

The reality is there are a lot more boat types represented on the forum which is why I think Tim chose the title "Plastic Classic" in the first place. Speaking for myself and not the moderator or anyone else of importance, as long as your boat isn't butt ugly you are certainly welcome around here.

For what its worth, your honorability goes well beyond the call of duty. You can post pictures of my boat anytime :-)
