Save-A-Boat - The Forum for Plastic Classic Rebuilds!

It's been awhile since I've posted to this forum but I thought everyone would be interested in this website I've created. The project is to create Sailing Guides for all the world: CaptainWiki.com. It seems it could be really beneficial to everyone if we all pitched in. The site is non-commercial and open to everyone. Anyone will be able to use this site to find notes and tips from cruisers that are local to your destination.

The problem with Forums and Bulletin Boards is that really helpful information gets buried quickly. Using this Wiki site is a way to make a real, permanent and accessible contribution to the sailing community. I'll be adding my local knowledge and hope to see you there!

This seems to be rather popular all of a sudden.

There are at least two others that I've seen, all with a lot of the same information:

I'm aware of those other wiki's also, I guess it's day has come. It looks like these Wiki's are split into two groups, skipper2skipper and skipperguide have more information based in Europe and CaptainWiki.com has information for the USA, North America, the Caribbean and South America. Though it has done a pretty good job of expanding to the whole world.

When I get a chance I'll see what local knowledge I can contribute for Narraganset bay
