Looking for some tips on setting up "pull down menus" in FrontPage.
I am nearing my first attempt at publishing online. I would like to get one feature right before I do it. I have broken down my restoration logs to one page each month. But on each page I have daily logs (making for long pages). I am (attempting to) use a pull down menu similar to the one on Tim's Daysailor home page which will go to each bookmarked date (though I am staying on the same htm page).
I have created the menu fine, but cannot seem to assign a "value" to each "choice" which recognizes the bookmark on the same page. I believe I may just be formatting the "value" incorrectly. Can anyone offer any suggestions for this.
Thanks.

In Front Page, right-click on the form (the drop down box), and choose "form field properties".

The following dialogue box will appear.
Highlight your choice (one of the items in the list) and click "Modify". In the box that appears (seen below), check the box that says "Specify Value", and then enter your bookmark thus: page.htm#bookmark

Let me know if this is not clear or if you need any further help. Can't wait to see the site!

Tim,
Thanks, that was the exact format for which I was looking. It was the # for bookmark I was missing. However, now that I have corrected the book mark feature, when I view in browser, I get the response:
Is this right? Let me know.

I assume that I now have the fomat correct, but it won't run on Explorer as I do not have the extensions.FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.
This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.
Is this right? Let me know.

The error message you received is normal when previewing unpublished pages that contain components such as forms. Don't worry about it; the error has no bearing on the functionality of the form once it is published. Any time you preview this or any other page containing forms, however, you will see this message. Like so many Windows-based error messages, we must learn to ignore them...
Be sure that whatever host server you have chosen offers FP extensions. Every host I have looked at does, but you never know. I still don't know exactly what these "extensions" entail (nor do I care, actually), but you do need them to ensure that your site will operate at full functionality. Extensions are a server/host issue, and not related to IE.

Tim,
Thanks again. I suspected that's what it was. Enjoy your cruise, and I let me say that I really like the color on the O'Day.
