Tim,

I’m usually on your professional site every other day to reference information about my current refit. I hadn’t been there for a while, and last night came across your “new” personal project boat.

Congratulations on your acquisition! I very much look forward to the restoration log!

Congratulations, indeed. I, too, just came across this one today, and have already enjoyed reading about her history and what you have planned. I can also say that while I'm not a fan of motorsailors for myself, I've always had a large soft spot for the Fishers, and I think you've got yourself a great boat for doing what you want to do. I also think she'll make an easy trip of your coming over to visit NS, and look forward to her completion to see you in our waters!

Also - thanks as always for sharing all of your boat-related thoughts and deeds with us, it's immeasurably valuable.

Cheers,

Chris

D'oh! I've been "outed". I've been getting around to an announcement, but you guys are too quick for me.

Yes, congratulations! Like others, I'll be following your progress. Quick question: What does a sinking do to deck core?

Good luck!

Congratulations on the acquisition of your new boat!

Years ago there was a Fisher in a neighbouring marina. I always admired her salty no-nonsense looks.

I'll watch your progress with great interest.

Ah ha. All things come to those that wait. I was wondering why the seabreeze had dropped off Tim's sig line. Again thanks to Tim for having his sites and posting his journals. I know I'm not alone in getting a lot of entertainment and education from them.

Dave.

Yes, congratulations!

I'm a little confused, though, I mean, haven't you always wanted to Ketch your Dreams? :-)

I confess, I found myself drooling over one of these boats in Astoria last summer while I was walking the docks. I thought the cockpit was too small for comfort at the time, but I'll be watching to see how yours turns out.

The cockpit is my least favorite part of the boat and was the thing about which I was most concerned before buying the boat. However, I believe it is adequate for two people, though I plan some minor cockpit seating modifications to improve comfort and stowage.

It's not an ideal cockpit for lounging any way you look at it, but I think we can make it work successfully.
