I expect howls of derision, but MRE's got rave reviews from my Boy Scouts who came sailing with me. They liked the fact each package contained a series of surprises. To them, it was like Christmas!!
Actually, the taste was pretty good, and the convenience of everything being in the package was outstanding.

I'm working on putting grab-type meals in plastic containers. Obviously, non-perishable items will go in there and the container will be packed just before going on a trip. I'm also trying to minimise waste and packaging. This can be a challenge.

Cheers,
Ian

I'm almost embarrassed to admit--after all the grief that Tim and I gave him--that Jeff's canned sardines on crackers is both nourishing and tasty.

I have elevated the ubiquitous peanut butter & jelly sandwich to a high art.

The preferred complement is tortilla chips, but fritos will do in a pinch.
