Geeky Map Stuff

Post by Tim »

Nathan sent me this link, and there was too much to go through at once, so I thought I'd list it here for my own use, and others', if interested.

There are map projections here you've never heard of!

Geeky, huh? Hmm. What does that make you, then, if you're saving the link for deeper perusal! Haha.

Actually, that was totally a dig at myself! The geek line forms right behind me, folks! :>)

I do think maps are cool (especially charts...) and intend to look at this site from time to time to pick up some new information.

Historical map site

Post by Shark »

I like maps too!

With a background in geography, I like topographical maps and charts. I found this site http://docs.unh.edu/nhtopos/nhtopos.htm which has a lot of good historical maps. Just follow the links to find maps which might be of interest to you. Although some of the maps are quite old they are still interesting.
