Looks like we are starting to get out of the worst here in coastal Maine as of ~5:45 pm. There is even some sun in the forecast on Saturday...sadly we'll be repairing our boats rather than sailing them anytime soon.

Cheers.

Yeah...when you see a forecast of 25-35 knots with higher gusts and feel ready to relax, it puts things in perspective!

What worries me is that we've been dealing with these high winds, chafe, etc. for several days. The duration of all this is asking a lot of our mooring hardware. I am still worried about chafe, since I have not seen my mooring lines since Friday.

I wish the boat were still at home. I don't often say that.

I wish Cirrus was home too!

The part I don't look forward to is getting insurance to cover everything. I may lose 1/2 the season just waiting for them. Cirrus can still sail...we'll probably head right for Brewers South Freeport again on Sat (decent forecast which will probably change a million times)...wish I hadn't left there...nice hurricane hole.

Cheers.
