From the beginning, I've thought that the published displacement figures for the Triton were incorrect--it just seemed too low. Problem was, I didn't know any way to confirm or refute my thoughts.
This works for me, however. Very interesting.

hmmmm.... En route from water to winter home, Figment will pass within 1/4 mile of a truck scale. I wonder if I can persuade the brownell guys to stop for fuel.....
Today we pulled HOKAHEY out of the water. The trailer was weighed empty at 2100 lbs. at Consumers' Fuel in Belfast, Maine.
Boat and trailer weighed 10350 lbs., for a boat weight of 8250 lbs. We had a small amount of cruising gear aboard, fuel, but no water.
HOKAHEY is hull # 656, built in RI in 1966.
I edited this because I read the scale slip wrong!
I was taking to a Triton owner with a 67 or 68 boat. He had it weighed when hauled with a crane. The crane operator said the scales were good to plus or minus 50 lbs and his Triton weighed in at 8400. I do not know how full the fuel and water tanks were.
