When rebuilding/replacing the bulkheads forward of the salon/settee area, what can I use for the spacing material between the bulkhead and cabin top. This would be to replace the old vinyl cord material that is cracked and not serving a purpose. thanks in advance

Neither of the two Tritons I've had were as you described. The bulkheads were framed-in plywood. The mast-step beam on my old WC boat had some sort of cement-like mastic sealing it to the foreward bulkhead and cabin roof.

656 does not have the vinyl cord there, but a thin teak molding, which looks nice. I have used that cord at new shelves and I found it at a hardware store sold as AC weatherstripping (white only). Sailrite also sells a similar product (black or white ) #102187, #102188 on P. 152 of their catalog. Haven't used it and don't know the size of it.
