Attention Boston-Mid NE People:

I received an email from someone who is interested in trucking his Triton to the east coast (Boston are) so that his son can use the boat.

His question is: where would be a good place to look for a slip or mooring, within a reasonable radius of Boston, with reasonable prices for the budgetly-challenged? I suspect he would entertain locales within an hours' drive. (That's like 5 miles around Boston, right? hehe)

Any suggestions?

We discussed this off-forum but for the benefit of the thread I will post here.

Salem, MA.

It is the only place north of Boston that I know of that actually has spots available without a waiting list. In the past there was a lot of room because you had to take your dinghy home with you every day. Last year they started including a launch service with the mooring price. Naturally, the place is filling up fast.
