Belated Pyxis launch photos

Our "new" Cape Dory 25D finally made it into the water in late June just about the time our ISP went belly-up and we were relegated to dail-up again. We're now up in Marblehead (more for the DSL than the weather sadly) and launched Miranda (Typhoon) today so now there is time for some pictures!
She sails great and the extra room down below is really appreciated, but she can't hold a candle to our SS23 for beauty...
Happy sailing everyone!

Pyxis' bottom had multiple issues including barnacle removal with
shovels a few owners back. The project took longer than expected, but I
feel confident that the bottom will hold for years to come.

The bootstripe was not redone as it was unclear where the waterline
really belonged. It will get repainted the next time she is
hauled. Cove stripe was my husband's handiwork.

The nonskid was redone with a Interulux's 2part high build primer which
is designed to cover crazing. So far, so good.

Boats always look bettern when surrounded by water!

The color scheme will be a little more consistent when I feel a little
richer.

Sunset on our first cruise on Pyxis after an awesome day of
sailing.

Photo under sail from the water on a paralyzingly hot Georgia day!
