My Kittiwake 23

I'm hoping this works, this is a new process for me.
I started the deck recore quite some time ago. Here are a few picks of the forward and side deck after the plywood has been laid.

Once I got that done I started looking into the the lazerette. Realized the entire sole was rotted out, so after much agonizing on what to do, I realized I had no choice but to remove it all. The problem was that water would come in through the outboard well and didn't drain properly. I got fed up with outboard well. It was a pain in the neck so decided to eliminate it and put an outboard bracket on the transom. I know it won't look as good to have the outboard hanging off the transom but I found the other arrangement unworkable. Here are some pics of the what I have done.

This is a pic of the well from inside the lazerette, just after I had removed some of the plywood floor.

To get to the area, there are 2 small hatches that didn't allow enough room to really do any work, so I bit the bullet and cut the aft deck off, below is the underside of that deck. Note that there are no backing plates or even washers, and this is where the the mainsheet traveler is.
Next I glassed over the outboard well opening. After much thought and valuable advice from this forum.

I then decided to reenforce the transom where the outboard bracket will go, I will also add a 1/2" backing plate and washers

I will hopefully get to making a pattern and cutting out plywood for the lazerette floor and a new bulkhead that goes between here and the cabin. It was rotted out as well. Below is a pic of the area where the new bulkhead has to go.
I hope this comes out. Any observations and/or advice will be welcome.
Thanks
