I imagine that someone, somewhere, is using little tiny monkey fists to do what that toggle does, and it is as beautiful as their 15 coats of varnish, and turks head matts in the cockpit and on the cabin sole...
I'm not that guy.
I did make 2 turks head matts one time, about 20 years ago. Cured me of that affliction.
