Mast step rebuild

Post by Lima33 »

When I first took ownership of "Sea Wind" I said i will be sailing in 6 months. Well it ended up taking two years. One of the big things that need addressing was the foreMast step.

Wow, I missed this post back in November.

*Beautiful* work! And apparently very nicely done! :D She's looking shipshape in that last picture.

I have a friend up in New England who sold his 75' schooner and replaced it with a Bristol Channel Cutter, one which is actually from Bristol. Been a while since he told me details, seems maybe she was built in 1947. Sailed over here on her own bottom many years ago, by the previous owner, IIRC. Lovely strong boats.
Kurt and Barque, the CrewDog.
Katie Marie, Ariel #422
Melelani, Islander 36 (shoal)
