Lovely.

I know it must've been killing you to refer to her simply as The Daysailor all this time.

How 'bout a detail shot of the fuel vent? I see it is in the way of the name, but looks like you got the gold leaf on there. That's not PAINT and REAL GOLD LEAF, is it?

Looks can be deceiving. The name is vinyl and is simply cut carefully around the vent.

Windsong

Tim-

I am glad this thread was started. It redirected my attention to your Daysailor Project so I could surf through those pictures of this beautiful boat again.

Would you please advise the source of your letters for Windsong?

Thanks

I ordered them from Port Supply/West Marine. I was lazy, didn't need anything overly special, and didn't feel like tracking down my usual local graphics guy, which can sometimes be an exercise in frustration. Instead, I faxed off a simple form and put it out of my mind.

I'd advise going with a local sign/graphics shop if you can. They have a better selection of styles and colors. That said, I'm pleased with the product I received, though the graphics were made incorrectly the first time (they left off the outline) and I had to have them redone--sort of an inexcusable lack of attention to detail on their part. Next time, I'll stay local, which is what I should have done here. Oh well. Sometimes one needs these experiences so as to confirm what one knew already!
