It's been a long, fun road from this in December 2002...

I came in late to this so I appologize if these things have been said but what and amazing project. The beauty of the Triton hull is startling when it becomes the eyes focus in this new version. It may well be what Alburg saw when he drew the boat.

I saw the new Morris daysailor in Northeast harbor a few weeks ago, your work of art Tim is more pleasing to my eye. Are the costs and hours a secret and the boat is for sale?

Congratulations, you're fearless.

Thanks for the compliments. The boat is indeed for sale. I built her for the fun of it, and to realize an idea I had had, but all along I also intended her to be sold when complete.

I estimate 3000 hours over 2.5 years' elapsed time, but honestly that's a SWAG because I didn't keep track of hours accurately. Check out www.thedaysailor.com for more. The site now contains a full listing for the boat, but click on "Construction Website and Logs" to go to the site I've been maintaining since the beginning.

The boat isn't quite complete. I estimate that I have about another 100 hours' work to finish up some interior trim and a few other nagging details.

Stunning. A lovely craft

Don't forget all the time Tim has spent documenting the work for our education and viewing pleasure.

Thanks

Some very lucky person is going to buy this beautiful boat. I hope they have an inkling as to how much love and care went into it, and look after it accordingly.

Looking forward to the report on the first sail. Congratulations on a fantastic job, Tim!

All Hail Tim!

Congratulations Tim.

Really a stunning transformation. She'll be turning lots of heads and I'm sure will inspire many others to bring their own boat project visions to life. Thanks for sharing it all and good luck on finding her a good home.
