Pixie Makes a Move

Today,
Pixie moved from North Yarmouth to the new shop in Whitefield, where she is now (finally!) comfortably ensconsed inside. I didn't have time to hang around afterwards for lots of pictures, since I was riding with Steve in his truck, but she fits beautifully inside what will be her home for the next several years.
I can't wait to get started with demolition now that she's inside. Over the course of this year, I expect to get some of the demo done, despite all the other things on my plate at the moment.
Here are the photos, starting with the pickup in North Yarmouth.

Yes, she does! It's a frigging big building. What am I doing with such a thing, anyway?

Sure thing. All it takes is all your money, plus some that you don't have, and a little more, and then just a schoch more, and then tons of your own labor too, to try to keep the cost in check. Nothing to it at all. I think you should start tomorrow!

BTW, those overhead lights aren't yellow as they appear; they're actually bright, cool white. Must be a funny camera thing.

Does this mean all the money from selling the Daysailor is gone already? So now I guess you are just a poor fool like the rest of us again... I suppose it was fun while it lasted.

Bonzai Tim! The new building looks great, especially with a sailboat in residence! Good to finally see Pixie in her new digs and ready for some proper attention. I mean, you finished off the Daysailor, what, like 4months ago?!?! Sheesh! So when are you going to start updating Pixie's website? Huh? Come on, who needs a house when you have all that! :)

That's going to be one seriously nice boat when you finish Tim.

It's the friendly pressure from all you folks that keeps me going, you know! No rest for the wicked...
(and the righteous don't need none)

Ah, Tim you know how much we love boat-moving pictures! It's just one of those inexplicably fascinating things. Thanks for indulging us.
Is it just the photo angle, or is she kinda jammed into the corner of the room? Are you planning to tackle the interior first, and then shift her to the middle to work on the exterior?
Echoing MikeD's comment, it's great to see a boat in residence at the boat barn! good on ya.
Edited to add: I just noticed that those windows are at eye level when standing on deck. NICE!!!

Hooray! Here we go again!
The boat looks great in her new home. Congratulations, Tim, on the new shop etc.
Thanks for taking the rest of us dreamers along for the ride!

The boat is about 3' from the wall on the port side, or perhaps just a bit closer. It might be a little close for painting, but that's years away at this point. I did want the boat more to one side, as it would help keep more of the bay clear for other uses and what have you. There's enough room to set up staging on all sides, however, for deck work and the like.
She's not as scrunched into the back wall of the bay as it looks either. There's a set of stairs running up that back wall, and I intentionally brought the stern close to the stairs so that I can build a platform right off the stairs for easy access on board during what will be a long rebuilding process.
Perhaps I'll consider moving her more to the middle for final painting when the time comes. By then I hope to have equipment in order to make such a move myself. But for the substantial demolition, prepwork, and most finish work, she's in a great spot.
The short answer is: yes, it's the camera angle!
More pictures in a few days, probably. I didn't have much time onsite during the delivery since I didn't have my own vehicle.
