Triton #144

Post by Harry James »

I have acquired Triton #144 a WC boat. Bought it in San Diego, had it trucked to Bellingham where I joined it to a trailer that I found in South Whidbey thanks to a link from somebody on this site. I got it to Juneau on the ferry. It turns out to be a much modified Triton in rig and the interior which I hadn't picked up on because the Pics my son took did not give the big picture. It is rigged like #17 in the NTA site, what they called a Scutter. The interior is rather nicely finished, the aft cabin is taken all the way to the Mast bulkhead and the forepeak is head and sail storage whith a much larger galley under the companion way. My goal for this year is to get the rig solid, bottom stripped and repainted, engine out, outboard on and heating stove in. Hopefully I will get in some sailing this season. Expect some pics of the mast in a week or so, I am going to need some advice there. The spreaders are shot for a start.
