What Kind Of SailBoat Is This?
Edited to say: Hey, you're "Che" from the Ariel forum! I'm so glad to know that you've got another boat. When I saw that a fellow on another forum had bought "Che," I just couldn't believe that (and hoped that you hadn't) you'd gotten out of boating.
I hope you stick around here. I always loved how you'd just pop into the Ariel forum from time-to-time with these massive photo updates, where you'd nonchalantly show about ten new completed items. And I'd love to hear more about your experience in mounting your chainplates on the topsides AND more about that cool dodger. I hope you won't mind if I post a photo of "Che" here. (Note: this boat was rough when Che took her on.)
Well, rats, I couldn't get the image to post. Maybe that's just as well since I was feeling like that might be a bit presumptuous. But if you'd like to post some, I know everyone here would love to see them :)
Okay, back to my regularly scheduled reply:
I looked at the photos, but I can't help you on the ID. I assume you've "Googled" and etc.?
It's a nice looking boat.

Looks like a nice heavy duty cruiser. It may be an optical illusion but in that second photo, it appears that the spreaders are not square to the boat.
Are you going to bring the wood trim back to bright or are you going to paint it?

Thanks for the replies..I will post some of my Che pics on here for sure...and would love to talk about External Chainplates and Hard Dodgers. It was hard parting with Che....however I am very excited about bringing Catorce back to life and getting cruising....I was shooting for Fall 08' with Che....and now that I have one refit under my belt...Catorce will probably go a little faster and we could still very well be heading south Dec 08'.. Lots of work to do...I managed to get Catorce safely in her slip today....it was hard turning the old girl with 7 years of growth on the bottom...it reminded me of when I brought Che home from across the bay. I sure hope Catorce sails as well as Che!!! It is hard to beat those Alberg designs...but we will see. It was an optical illusion with the spreaders...I believe they are true to the mast...More pics and updates to come....Thanks for your input...

Interesting.
I'd expect a heavy salty boat like that to have a bridge deck.
But is it really a heavy salty boat? It almost looks like someone took a C&C and trimmed it out to look like a westsail.
That rudder post is a lot farther forward than I'd expect, and it looks to have rather firm turn at the bilge.
What is the beam?
Those plumb cabin sides must make for a very spacious interior.
