Yeah, I know... I'm a broken record with all of my foredeck cleat ramblings. At least this time I elected to not hijack a thread!

My chief complaint with carrying the dinghy on the foredeck is that (when lashed down) it prevents access to the foredeck cleat.
Well, that's really my ONLY complaint. My dinghy's bottom is almost completely flat, so in terms of sailhandling, it pretty much acts as a "raised foredeck", though it's a tad on the slippery side.
The cleat access issue may be resolved soon, as I'm considering mounting a pair of cleats near the stem in lieu of the single cleat mid-deck.
Wish I'd thought of that before I spent all of that time and energy reinforcing the crap out of that mid-deck location.
I'd love to hear thoughts from the crowd regarding optimal cleat location.
