I just got 3 second hand sails (off an auction site) and 2 are in really good condition and one has the worst rust stains i have ever seen, as in whatever the metal was that ended up stored with the sail is still stuck in parts to it.
Just how does one remove the stains? or are they going to be there forever :( pity if it's permanent coz it's a nice shaped blade.
cheers
J

Should be able to pick some up at your local hardware store: Muriatic Acid is hydrochloric. Usually 10-15% if memory serves. Obviously you'd need to dilute to get a 2% sol'n....

Some people swear by this Sail Care place. I have no direct experience, but here's the link: www.sailcare.com
