Jackstand behavior on pavement

Post by Ceto »

I'm going to move my boat any day now to a place where there's pavement. Should the jackstands be anchored in the pavement with a big nail or will they be ok just freestanding?

I'm kind of wary of big gusts of winds tipping over the boat.
Play.

Freestanding is OK. Be sure to chain them together beneath the boat, as always.

You might want some plywood pads beneath the stands' feet to prevent them from sinking into the pavement at all.
