Maine Boat Builders Show ???

Post by Maine Sail »

Anyone here going this year??

This is a GREAT show and is unlike the "mass production" boat shows. You will actually see some of the finest craftsmen and builders in the marine industry.

I will be working at the Mobile Marine Canvas booth with my buddy Seth. I will at least be there on Saturday and possibly part of Sunday but that looks doubtful. Unfortunately Sunday I have prior commitments.

I will put my screen name under my real name on my boat show badge so you'll know which guy I am in the booth.

Feel free to stop by and say hello. Oh and let's not forget the eye candy...

Just came back. The show was great, as usual, but a few things were different. Robinhood marine was missing, Ellis only had one boat and upstairs, east end of the building (where I think Mobile Marine Canvas is located) There are a couple of empty booths.

Went on Friday. Good as usual. Guillemot (sp) kayaks and canoes were absolutely amazing for their design and craftsmanhip. Looked at diesels, wondering about pulling the trigger for show prices.

Be sure of your target before your pull the trigger. In this economy my guess is that they'll be glad to sell you a motor at "show price" for some time to come.

I wish I could have gone. I've been to the show a couple of times, while at the Landing School and a few times after. Just couldn't make it this year but I think it is the best show out there. Never know what you're going to see.
