Luff Affair

Post by windrose »

It's raining and I am home wading thru a bunch of insurance crap.... so I took a little side trip over to MIR and to the CBTF pages to take away my pain when I came across Luff Affair..... anybody know what became of her? I was hoping she would become Rachel's owner;-0, but it was not to be....

Now I think I'll venture over to Nathan's place, I'm thinking about hacking out my ice box and putting in a top loader over the winter.... I need a little inspiration:-) I know just the place.

BTW, check out that crazy man with a dudent tattooed on him over on the CBTF. Who is that guy, we gotta meet!

The old-timers on the forum tend to ramble on a bit and use the Rambling section to think out loud ;-) Ang is just filling us in on her thoughts. She wants to know about a Triton named "Luff Affair", she is thinking about installing an icebox along Nathan's model, and she is curious about a guy pictured on the Chesapeake Triton Assoc. website.

I haven't heard about Luff Affair but I bet Rachel knows her whereabouts.

I like Nathan's icebox too. Maybe you could try 5 inches of insulation and see how long a block of ice will last. Remember though, that if you have an Atomic Four you need to leave some room to service the carburetor and fuel pump.

A dudent tatoo. That is what I need too! Just the ticket for a Triton fanatic. Too bad I am mortally afraid of pain...

Just draw one on with a fine-tip sharpie. So what if you have to reapply weekly? I'd say that shows greater fanaticism than a boozed-up night at the tattoo shop.

Isn't Luff Affair in Whitehall Marina with the rest of most of the Ches. Bay Triton fleet?

I went to look at Luff Affair at Whitehall marina late last winter, and at the time the owner said there was another couple who were interested in her if I wasn't. I decided not to take her on as a project, so at the time I presumed they would end up with her.

Later on in spring I happened to have an e-mail conversation with them (the couple who were next in line -- small world!), and they, too, had decided that she was too much of a project for them. I don't know what happened to her after that.

It is nice to keep track of the flock, isn't it :-)
