Eventually, I'd like a decent, easily-removable/installable-and-stowable cockpit table for Glissando. I'm looking for ideas for something basic and simple, inexpensive and easy to build. Just something small to put some drinks on, and maybe some hors d'oeuvres at cocktail time. Any larger, and it will be a pain to stow.
Any and all thoughts will be appreciated. I have a couple potential ideas that I have seen, and I will post some more details later.

How about something sort of like our seat concept? (For the uninitiated, this is a concept for a seat that slides onto the cockpit coamings. Essentially a bar stool top with some wooden cleats, or brackets, padded with leather, that would slide onto the coaming.)
You could take that in a number of directions: Something quite small that would sit on one side, or something a bit larger which would reach out to the center line, or a huge something, possibly hinged for better storage, that would span the whole cockpit width.

CW article on table
There was an article in a back issue of CW that had a table with a drop down leg and a couple of hooks that hooked onto your wheel, but now that I think, you have a tiller not a wheel right ?

Any picture posted to this forum must already be hosted, or published, somewhere on the Internet. All this forum software allows you to do is essentially "link" to the already-hosted photo. Therefore, I published the photo you sent to one of my website servers, and then posted its web address here using the tags.
It's much more complicated to try and explain in layman's terms than it is to actually do once you know how, but I'll try. Otherwise, I'm always happy to accept emailed photos and post them myself.
1. If the photo you want to post here is already located online somewhere, copy its URL. If you don't already know how to do this (right click>properties), then it's beyond my capacity to teach at this juncture.
2. If the photo is not already hosted online, then you can send it to me and I'll post it myself, or else use one of the free photo sites (Shutterfly, Photoworks, Ofoto, etc) to post your own photos to the Internet. Then simply follow step 1 to determine the URL of the photo. Note that for best results, the horizontal size of the photo should be 650 pixels or smaller to fit well in this forum.
3. In this forum, at the point you wish to insert the photo, click on the Img button at the top of the posting page. This inserts an HTML tag into the message, which will show up in the edit window as [img].%20%20Now,%20paste%20the%20URL%20of%20the%20photo%20into%20the%20text%20box%20(where%20you%20write%20your%20messages%20here)%20right%20next%20to%20the%20[img]%20tag.%20%20At%20the%20end%20of%20the%20address%20(following%20the%20extension%20.jpg%20or%20.gif),%20click%20on%20the%20Img%20button,%20which%20inserts%20the%20closing%20tag[/img]. If you then click on "preview", you'll see that, if done correctly, the HTML code will disappear and in its place should be the photo. If not, then something is wrong, of course.
Or, simply paste the URL into this page, highlight the whole thing, and then click the Img button. This automatically inserts the open and closing code in one operation.
4. There. Now you know some basic HTML!
As I said, this is far more complicated to write about (and surely to read) then it is to actually do. If anyone is gifted enough to describe the process more clearly, please give it a try, and perhaps I can come up with a good help page for this purpose.
Maybe I'll create a photo gallery through one of my sites where you, the user, can easily post your own photos for free. I'll think about that one.
Otherwise, keep sending me the photos through email, and I'll post them here! It's no trouble, and photos often add a lot.
