I don't think you'll have any trouble getting done what you NEED to get done.

But don't sit here reading about it...hit the boatyard, now!

(And I sure hope you meant "speedo", and not Figment's "Speedo"! )

I'm not sure I'm going to make it, but I really want to.

This weekend I knocked these off the list:

2. Plumb Fuel Filters
a. Create Mounting Piece
b. Order Fuel hose holders

3. Plumb Raw water intake
a. Get new water line hoses

6. Fix Gelcoat issues
a. Epoxy big holes

10. Finish Saildrive work:
a. Lube SailDrive
b. Saildrive rubber cover on bottom of boat
c. Get Propeller Magnesium?s
d. Sand and paint prop

17. Rigging
a. Backstay blocks and Lines
b. Clean Shrouds
c. Get new Forestay lower wire (or go with Solid?)
d. Mount Spreaders and Test Lights
e. Run Halyards
f. Lazy Jacks

Still lots to do, and I'm not sure I will make it. The biggest issue has been removing the tape on the decks. That sh?t just isn't coming off. I had some friends come by and spend a couple of hours on it, but it has been very slow. The tape was on for 5 days and I used the 3M blue stuff. No leaking, but I would say that 5 days out in the weather is too long.

Ugh--what a miserable chore.

I think the blue tape has changed. I used to like it a lot, but lately I find that it's just complete junk, useless for almost everything--even for one-day tapes. It just doesn't seem to work very well.

The price is ridiculous, but the 3M silver #225 tape is the best for outdoor taping of any duration.

Looks like you made good progress otherwise, though.

Very interesting about the blue tape...I used it 3 years ago and had no problems at all leaving it on for a while, and now this...

They were out of the silver or I would have used it. My time is worth more than the extra $8 for the good tape.

I decided to hold off till Friday. It gives me more time to finish up all those details. Hopefully pictures will follow. Building up the mast took longer than I thought it would, but we did it right, so it makes me feel good. New lights, VHF antenna, etc. The rig looks good (mostly Rod) and I will probably leave it up for a couple of years, though I'm sure I will go up the 60ft mast a couple of times in between.
