I found this pic on the net today, and thought it was a pretty good idea to trailer boats over 8' wide that would otherwise be good trailerables. I've never seen something like this in the states, have you?

I found this pic on the net today, and thought it was a pretty good idea to trailer boats over 8' wide that would otherwise be good trailerables. I've never seen something like this in the states, have you?

How interesting! I've never seen anything like that. Boy, that just looks weird, though it's an interesting solution.
No one around here seems to worry too much about towing J/24s (which is what is in the picture)--and lots of other, larger, beamier boats--on private, non-commercial trailers despite the supposed 8'-6" width limit on the roads.
