Talk about favorite or hated suppliers, recommend good materials or sources, or anything of the same ilk. This is also a good place to suggest unique ideas and innovations you may have come up with.

Need a surface thermometer

Post by tartan30cirrus »

Anyone know where I could find a surface thermometer that willl measure up from the 30s. I want to use it to see if my boat is warm enough for eopxy/paint/etc. work. I have an air thermometer.

Cheers,

I use one of these. I see they are $79.00. There are two models, one with a laser and one without. The only reason for the laser is to play with the cat. It serves no purpose. You will need to get the temp gun very close to what you are measuring. I see people use them at 6 and 8 feet distance and they are not accurate at all at that distance. I place it right against the object I am measuring. They also don't like real shiny surfaces.
