Below is a picture of an interesting outboard motor bracket I plucked off a European web site months ago. I have never seen one like it locally. If anyone has any info on it, please let me know.

It looks like it might well be a custom fabrication. It looks pretty simple in concept--a couple tubular rails and a bracket that slides up and down on the rails. It wouldn't be that hard to conceive one in concert with a trusted metal fabricator.

I saw something like this on a homemade 40 ft LOA catamaran in San Diego back in the 70's. The cat had an internal engine well with a similar system with a block and tackle setup to lower it to the water from the deck house.

Good idea on the self-fabrication. Sounds like a nice winter project to mock up a prototype with some metal electrical conduit and a pipe bender ... just to see how it works. I'll add that to my list!
