Wow!
This joint sure is dead with Tim and Nathan on extended cruises! For those of who have not looked at my site lately, Heart of Gold has launched! (not the site, the boat) And a fine launching it was. Christening, launching and first new sail logs and pictures have been posted for anyone interested in reading my drivel.

Well, one of us is back, at least. We only were able to buzz out for a short cruise this year?my business is getting in the way plus we weren't postiive how well Gavin would do. Nothing to to worry about there though. He was great and we had a great time despite less than perfect weather. Updates to my site will be upcoming probably over the weekend.

Welcome back! I am glad to hear you had fun and that all went well. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate as you would have liked.

Yeah, we had a couple days of rain and fog, plus two days of 30 plus knots, which was kind of unpleasant. But overall very nice. Sadly we also had a ton of days of NO wind so we put alot of engine hours in which was discouraging. Got to some nice places though.
Sad to be home! hehe

Doug,
Nice website and congratulations on your launch. It looks like all your hard work has paid off. The boat looks great.

Back from cruising. I had a very enjoyable four weeks aboard, the first 10 days of which were solo. Heidi then joined me for the remaining time. We got home yesterday (Friday).
The very lengthy and photo-filled cruise logs will be posted on the site hopefully by the end of the weekend. I have to finish things up and transfer the data from the laptop before I can post.
This cruise seemed, as Nathan intimated, to be a silly combination of either storm winds, or no wind at all. Such is the way. All I can say is: I'd rather motor all over the coast of Maine than not go at all, so it's enjoyable nonetheless. I loved every minute of the cruise, as usual. Whatever less-than-perfect moments there might have been are already fading into oblivion in my memory.
Doug, I look forward to catching up on your website over the next few days. It takes a lot of time to catch up on life and email after 4 weeks away!

Tim,
Welcome back. I am certainly glad to hear you and Heidi had a great time in spite of any weather snafus. I would have welcomed you home sooner, but I spent the day out in the Gulf bottom fishing. I brought home Snapper, Grouper, Trigger (yum!) and even a Spanish Mackerel. I may even get another recipe or two on my website soon.
I'll be taking a census of your posts tomorrow and see how many you actual made within the first 24 hours (I will be counting beginning from the time of your first post). I must admit that I was one of the two souls who underestimated your prowess and posting ability. I should have known better. I look forward to reading of Glissando's travels.
