I need an inexpensive tank for a diesel repower. I see that Glissando's replacement tank is a 16gal tempo under the cockpit floor. I like the idea of freeing up the starboard seat locker.
Tempo markets a diesel fuel adapter kit. If you use this kit, do you loose the use of a fuel guage. I looks like it uses the same hole as the sending unit?
Bacons's in Annapolis has a 12 Gallon tank for about 1/3 retail price, but it is too tall to fit under the cockpit floor. It would have to go just aft of the (Triton) galley. I think this spot is a lot better than where the present tank is, but is maybe less than ideal.

The diesel adapter provides you with a replacement sending unit fitting that includes a simple nipple to accept your return fuel line. The sending unit remains usable; it's a simple drop-in replacement.
There's a Triton on the NTA site (Alaya, I think) that shows the 12 gallon Tempo fuel tank installation just aft of the galley. Check it out.
